• Guest play: a display name and room code — no account or personal information required.
• Account information (if you sign in): your email address, and if you use Google Sign-In, basic profile info Google provides (name, email).
• Gameplay data: game stats, results, and leaderboard standing tied to your account.
• Purchase information: which theme packs you've purchased and when. Payment card details are collected and processed directly by Stripe — we never see or store your full card number.

2. How We Use Information

• To run the game itself: matching you into rooms, tracking scores, saving stats.
• To deliver purchased content to your account and send purchase confirmation emails.
• To send account-related emails you request (sign-in links, password resets).
• To maintain the leaderboard, if you choose to participate.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following services to operate Muggins, each of which processes data on our behalf under their own privacy terms:

• Firebase (Google): authentication, game data storage, and hosting.
• Stripe: payment processing for purchases. Stripe's own privacy policy governs how they handle your payment information.
• SendGrid (Twilio): delivery of transactional emails (sign-in links, purchase confirmations).

4. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain account and gameplay data for as long as your account is active. To request deletion of your account and associated data, contact us at contact@freeonlinecribbage.com.

5. Children's Privacy

Muggins is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

6. Cookies & Local Storage

We use minimal browser storage necessary for keeping you signed in and remembering game preferences (like your chosen theme). We don't use third-party advertising trackers.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when that happens.
